What happens at the visit
- Dr. Tummala and his team talk with you about your symptoms, your activities and your goals.
- He reviews your imaging with you. If more imaging would help, it can be ordered.
- You leave with a diagnosis and a plan. Many conditions are treated without surgery first. When surgery is the right choice, you will talk through the options, the recovery and what to expect.
- You may receive handouts for your condition, such as a condition guide, a home exercise program or a physical therapy protocol. Each has a QR code so you can read it online.

After your visit
- Start any home exercises or therapy as planned. Bring your therapy protocol to your first physical therapy visit.
- Questions before your next visit: call the clinic at 510-974-2800. For emergencies call 911.
- Read more about your condition in the patient resources.
