Research that informs practice

Studies that ask practical questions about how athletes and active patients get hurt, how they are treated and how they recover.

Dr. Tummala's research focuses on developing novel surgical approaches, addressing psychosocial barriers to effective patient care and studying the biomechanics of sports injuries. He has written multiple book chapters, and his study of resilience in ACL patients received grant funding.
